Kunin Westside Zinfandel 2006
Sweet, dark red fruit and spice in the nose, with the same, jammyfruits and plenty of spice on the palate. Full-bodied but not heavy, the wine has moderatetannin structure. Good acidity and intensity of fruit lead to a medium-long finish. Not portlike or overdone, but a zin that carries its weight and finishes cleanly. Wine Spectator Jammy, supple and briary, with wild berry and anise aromas and easygoing dusty cherry, loam and smoky licorice flavors. Drink now. Score: 87. —Tim Fish, May 31, 2008.
