Marques de Caceres Blanco 2006
Pale straw color with some brilliant highlights. Very fresh bouquet that brings to mind mineral notes, apples and pears with a slightly exotic touch. This intensity on the nose comes through again in the mouth with full fruit flavors and outstanding freshness that lingers on the palate.
Serving suggestions: An exquisite aperitif, this wine married well with seafood bisques, all kinds of fish dishes (in sauce, pastry, grilled, souffles), shellfish, lobster, tuna, smoked salmon, sushi and sashimi. It also complements rice and pasta dishes prepared with seafood and various types of cheese.
Wine Enthusiast
As always, this gracious white wine made from the Viura grape delivers the goods. In this case, it’s pineapple and pear aromas in front of pleasant apple and fresh celery flavors. There’s even some honeyed apple to the finish. Light, liquidy and never bad when served properly chilled.
