The 2006 Pinot Blanc is a delicate pale straw color, with star-bright brilliance in the glass. Intense aromas tempt with lemon curd, fuji apple, yuzu, and fragrant vanilla. The palate is medium bodied and round, delighting with flavors of Meyer lemon, Honey-Crisp apple and a faint touch of toast. The balance of clean fruit flavors and tantalizing acidity make this wine irresistible now, but suggest that it will continue to evolve nicely in bottle for another 10 –12 months. This is a versatile wine when it comes to food, from delicate light fish or shellfish with herbs and butter, to schnitzel, to bratwurst with boiled potatoes, it’s hard to go wrong with this wine. This is a very limited production bottling with only 554 cases for the total 2006 production of Pinot Blanc.
