Medium plum color, very intense aromas of blackberry, cocoa and cranberry. The palate opens with white pepper, cassis and rich black cherry notes. The long finish is supple with lingering boysenberry and wild strawberry flavors. This is a big Merlot and a natural accompaniment to prime rib with sage, black pepper salt crust; truffled mashed potatoes and Haricot Vert.
