Camelot Merlot 2003
Ruby hued with black cherry and plum notes dominating the aromas while a spicy chocolate note fleshes out a full bouquet. A light brambly note adds complexity to the nose. On the palate there is a huge black raspberry core that overwhelms all other flavors. This full-frontal characteristic makes a graceful transition into a lingering, chalky finish complemented by a hint of milk chocolate and very fine and elegant tannins. This wine should pair nicely with stewed or roasted beef as well as hard cheeses, red sauced pasta dishes and roast pork with berry glaze.
