Distinctive, shy-bearing clones such as Rued and Dijon have been specifically selected for Carmel Road Chardonnay. These clones thrive in the decomposed granite soils of Arroyo Seco and provide focused flavors and perfumed aromatics of citrus and melon fruit. Complete malolactic fermentation with weekly stirrings add creamy, vanilla and toasty notes to the wine.
