Sbragia Family

The family vineyards are my father’s legacy and I get so much joy out of crafting wines from our Home Ranch. The 2009 is the fourth vintage for our Home Ranch Sauvignon Blanc but its profile and innovative closure have made it a favorite around the country which we’re thrilled about. The 2009 has bright citrus aromas, followed by luscious pear and apple flavors. Its bright acidity is beautifully balanced by a supple mouthfeel and lasting finish.

Wine Spectator

Wonderfully ripe and fleshy, with lemon, melon, peach, apricot and Bartlett pear flavors that have a terrific acidity that persists on the finish. Apple blossom and mineral details fill in. Drink now. 1,698 cases made.

Score: 89. —MaryAnn Worobiec, August 31, 2010.

Wine Advocate

Readers looking for a steely Sauvignon Blanc loaded with fresh grapefruit notes should check out the light to medium-bodied 2009 Sauvignon Blanc Home Ranch. It is a cool climate, stainless steel, non-malolactic white that sells for a song and should drink well for 1-2 years.

Score: 88. —Robert Parker, December 2010.
