Trentadue Petite Sirah 2004
Trentadue This is a fruity wine showing intense blueberry, blackberry and plum aromas distinct for Petite Sirah. The color is intense dark purple, suggesting deep extraction and full body with a viscous, long and juicy finish. This wine is very drinkable now, but it’s solid and well structured tannins, should allow for gracefull aging for the next 5 to 7 years. Wine Advocate A reasonably priced offering, the 2004 Petite Sirah possesses creamy oak, blackberry, and floral characteristics, moderately sweet tannin, and a fleshy, deep mouthfeel. It should drink well for 5-10 years or longer. Score: 88. —Robert Parker, December 2006.Wine Enthusiast Pet fans will like the volume of this wine. It’s black as ink and immensely tannic and fruity, more of a food group than a wine. Chew on it, and you’ll discover humongous depths of ripe cherries, blackberries, licorice, cocoa and sweet oak. Nothing subtle here. Score: 87. —Steve Heimoff, December 31, 2006.All sizes are 750mL unless otherwise noted.
