Marcarini

Marcarini is now in its fifth generation of wine-makers. It all started in the mid-1800s, when Giuseppe Tarditi, the present owner's great-great-grandfather, chose to become a Barolo producer at La Morra, in the heart of Barolo country. His wines soon became the area's top Barolos, and this heritage of quality was passed on from father to son, to daughter. Today, the Marcarini standards are maintained and perfected by Anna Marcarini Bava, with her daughter Luisa and son-in-law Manuel Marchetti. The Piedmont's most classic quality criteria are rigorously implemented from vineyard to winery, and the resulting wines express the best of the Langhe terroir. Visit the Marcarini website.
