The 2005 Poet’s Leap is a blend of four distinct Columbia Valley vineyards linked by the age of their vines – 20+ years – but distinguished by their unique terroir. Hand-harvested grapes from vines planted in 1972 at Dionysus Vineyard north of the Tri-Cities; Weinbau Vineyard planted in 1982 on the Wahluke Slope; and Yakima Valley Vineyards Koinonia, planted in 1979; and Phil Church, planted in the early 1980s, make for a layered, complex wine, notable for its refreshing, lively character.
