Amalaya Blanco 2018
|Region||Argentina, Salta, Cafayate Valley|
Pale lemon-yellow. Zesty aromas of candied lime peel and guava. Fresh, juicy and penetrating, even a bit hard-edged, with citrus zest and quinine flavors further firmed by rocky minerality. Finishes salty, dry and persistent, with lovely lift and a light touch. A very refreshing white wine for twelve bucks. (just 12.5% alcohol; done entirely in stainless steel)
The aromatic and grapey 2018 Amalaya Blanco was produced with 85% Torrontés and 15% Riesling and was dominated by the Moscatel-like, floral and orange peel aromas of the variety. The palate is light and balanced, very easy to drink, with a dry finish. 162,000 bottles produced.
