Braai Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
|Region||South Africa, Western Cape|
There's a pleasant savory, herbal character at the fore of this wine's bouquet, with notes of green peppercorn, licorice root, bramble and fennel seed that sit atop scents of black fruit skin. The medium-weight palate is plush in flavor and feel, though with a solid structure of smoky, lingering tannins that frame the charred black plum-flavored finish.
This leans more toward elegance than power, with cherry and rose hip notes. The tannins provide support but get a bit chewy on the finish. Drink now. 6,050 cases made, 3,500 cases imported.
