Dense and dusty, this is a hugely built, ripely round wine, muscular and robust in leather, tobacco and black currant. It offers an additional tease of chocolate and cigar as it opens in the glass.

Dense and earthy, with deep currant, fresh, loamy earth, tobacco leaf and sage notes that form the dominant themes. Ends with rustic, chewy tannins. Best from 2018 through 2028.
